Every month Taaza Maal programme on etc introduces a new debuting film artiste to its viewers through this platform. Tanisha, younger sister of Kajol, is making her début in Hindi Cinema with a suspense thriller‘Sssshhh…..’ and she features as Taaza Maal of etc for October 2003.

Taaza Maal is a slot where every month fresh talent from the world of Indian film and music industry is given a platform to reach the audience. As a show Taaza Maal is unique because it showcases not only the professional development of the artistes but also their expertise in day today life. Taaza Maal on etc explores the persona, life style and professional development of these stars in the making.

Tanisha is new to the industry but she has a long list of family tree sporting very famous names like Shobhana Samarth, Tanuja, Kajol, Nutan, Shomu Mukherjee, Joy Mukherjee, Rani Mukherjee, Mohnish Behl and Ajay Devgan. She will talk to the audience on etc as Taaza Maal in an exclusive show Chit Chaat on Wednesday October 22, 2003 at 7.30pm (Repeats on Thursday at 1.30 pm).

Besides an “Exclusive” Face-to-Face with the artiste to showcase them, etc also airs songs and clippings from the first film of the artiste to give them the extra mileage.

Talking to Suresh Menon, Anchor of etc, Tanisha tells “when I was small I wanted to be a Nun but that wish lasted only until I reached 6th standard. After that its been films. Once I finished my graduation in Media and Arts it was natural for me to do films.”

In this funny and hilarious talk with Suresh Menon she talks about her childhood and schools. She explores the difference in Hindi Cinema in comparison to the earlier times. “Now films are not only song and dance routine. And you don’t even need to run around trees and plants to dance, they run after you” she laughs.

About taking on thriller as her first film she dismisses it with a shrug. “I didn’t think of it as launch pad. I did it because it is a fun film and I have enjoyed working in it.” And who is her favorite actress. “Ofcourse Kajol. She is not one of the best but she is the best. She is my idol.”

Tanisha enjoys talking. She tells why she took so long before actually signing a film. She also tells that her dancing technique is taught by her sister Kajol. “But I love to dance.” She alos revealed that she is a fan of Madhuri Dixit and want to see the film ‘Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon’.
