Procedure for pre-selection of Indian Entries to
'Asian
Competition Section' of IFFI - 2000
Entries are
invited from the producers of Indian feature
films censored between 1st jaunary 1998 and 15th
November, 1999, for the purpose of pre-selection
by the Indian Panorama Jury/followed by
Competition Selection Committee. A maximum of two
feature films will be selected by this Jury which
will be screened to the International Jury,
constituted by the Directorate, for the 'Asian Competition
Section' of
IFFI 2000.
For the above
purpose, the Indian Panorama Jury/followed by
Competition Selection Committee will have a
maximum of two separate sittings. The first, to
consider those entries which have been censored
between 1st January, 1998 and 31st of August,
1999. The second sitting of a duly constituted
sub-committee of this jury, will consider those
Indian entries that have been censored from 1st
September 1999 but before the 15th November,
1999.
The last date of receipt of
entries in
the Directorate of Film Festivals, New Delhi for
the first sitting of the Jury will be the 21st of September 1999 and the last date for
receiving the 35 mm prints,
will be the 25th
of September 1999.
The last date for receipt of
entries along with the 35 mm prints of the
feature film for the second sitting of a duly constituted
sub-committee of the jury, will be the 20th of
November, 1999.

regulations of IFFI 2000 can be obtained from the
film industry organisations, offices of the Central Board of Film
Certification, National Film Dev. Corp., State
Film Dev. Corp., Dept. of Information, Public
Relations of State Govts. They can also be
collected from the Directorate of Film Festivals Ministry

Attested Copy of the Censor Certificate should
also accompany the entry form.
